THE SECRETARIAT

SDSN Uganda’s secretariat is at the Makerere University Centre for Climate Change Research and Innovations (MUCCRI). MUCCRI is a semi-autonomous unit in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Makerere University. MUCCRI supports strengthening of climate change research, innovations, information generation, and dissemination. The Centre’s work encompasses four major themes:

  1. Climate Science
  2. Mitigation
  3. Adaptation, and
  4. Policy, Training, and Outreach

The Centre thus contributes greatly to the achievement of SDG 13 on climate action. The Centre has been receiving technical and financial support from USAID and FAO Uganda to implement various climate change projects and trainings.
