Revocatus Twinomuhangi (PhD)

Network Manager

Senior Lecturer in the Department of Geography, Geo- Informatics and Climatic Sciences, Makerere University. He is also the Coordinator of the Makerere University Centre for Climate Change Research and Innovations (MUCCRI) a unit in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. He holds a PhD in Geography from Makerere University obtained in 2010. He teaches Human Geography, Settlement Systems, Urban Geography, Natural Resources Management, Regional Development Planning, Spatial Decision Support Systems and Climate Change. His current research focuses on climate change adaptation and mitigation, and urban environment management. Throughout his 18 years of experience, Dr. Twinomuhangi has provided expertise in the fields of environment and naturalresource management, climate change, urban planning and management, strategic planning and management, policy analysis, monitoring and evaluation, and impact analysis. He has authored and co-authored 11 publications, and 9 reports, 6 books, attracted 5 research grants.


Christine Kobusingye

Web Administrator

Christine Kobusingye holds a Bachelor’s and a Master of Information Technology from Makerere University.  As an IT specialist, she specializes in Information Management and Security. She has been working with MUCCRI since 2017 as a research associate as well as managing MUCCRI’s Website. She has worked on several Climate change projects notably Education and Research to Improve Climate Change Adaptation (ERICCA) Activity, short course training on climate change, and annual climate change Students’ boot camps.


Hakimu Sseviiri

Network Associate

Hakimu Sseviiri is a researcher working with the Centre for Climate Change Research and Innovations (MUCCRI) and the Urban Action Lab at Makerere University. Hakimu holds a Masters degree in Geography from Makerere University. He has worked on a number of interdisciplinary projects with broader interests in climate change mitigation and adaptation, urban resilience and development, waste management and sanitation infrastructure, humanitarian crises, urban mobility, renewable energy, food security, urban food systems, disaster risk reduction, spatial planning and informality. He has utilised his expertise across Africa, The Arab Region and Asia working as a researcher and consultant at national, regional, continental and global scales.
