Leadership Council

LEADERSHIP COUNCIL


SDSN Uganda will be governed by a National Leadership Council that is still under establishment. The Leadership Council will be composed of 10-14 members drawn from the government, academia, civil society, private sector.

The main role of the Council, which shall meet 2-3 times annually, is to ensure that SDSN Uganda fulfills its responsibilities while complying with bylaws that govern national SDSN Centers as set by the Executive Committee of the global SDSN, liaise with Government on sustainable development initiatives, provide intellectual leadership and insight, support resource mobilization efforts on behalf of the national SDSN, increase the visibility of SDSN Uganda.

The Council will also act as the link between government, private sector, development partners and SDSN Uganda, mobilize members and government in support of SDSN Uganda, engage business and potential donors on solutions initiatives.

The Leadership Council will have two Co-Chairs of SDSN Uganda, one of whom shall be a Vice-Chancellor of a University in Uganda, to provide strategic leadership and guidance on activities undertaken by SDSN Uganda.

Note: The Leadership Council is still under establishment
